GACS stands for Group Against Confusing Stuff, first mentioned in the Power Press on July 20, 2003. These are the ones who go around lobbying for uncomplicated languages and understandable instructions. Their motto is 'Keep it Simple' and nothing is safe from their scrutiny.

Wherever there's a paragraph that's longer than four lines, wherever there's a word longer than eight letters, you can bet a GACS member will find it and do their best to get it shortened.
